Aramid Fiber Rods ARP Rods for Fiber Optic Cables


Aramid Fiber Rod/ ARP rod is a new type of non-metallic strength member for fiber optical cables. It is made by thermal pultrusion technique which combines complex resin as body material with aramid fiber as strength member at a certain ratio. It has been widely employed in the internet access network and it works particularly well with the indoor fiber optical cable network.

 

ARP Rod Features

1)  Light weight and high strength, both the strength and modulus of ARP rod are better than that of steel and fiberglass strength member.

2)  Low expansion, ARP rod covers a wide range of temperatures; the linear expansion coefficient is less than that of steel and fiberglass strength member;

3)  Impact resistance, resistance to fracture, Hongbo ARP rod reaches not only ultra-high tensile strength (≥1700Mpa), even in case of breakage it can still maintain a tensile strength of about 1300Mpa;

4)  Good flexibility, the light and soft texture allows it to bend easily; the minimum bending diameter is only 24 times of the diameter of the rod;

5)  Indoor fiber optic cable with compact structure, excellent bending properties, especially suitable for complex wiring indoor environment.
